The Loss of a Visionary
Last night, Sanket and I were cracking our nerves over a game of Cat Physics and an alert from CNN flashed on the iPad screen. 'Steve Jobs dies at an age of 56!' After all the media updates about his health, we all knew it was coming. He looked pale when I last saw him on the television screen. But the news was still not acceptable.
Ironically, we received the news on the device which was a brain-child of the genius, who was no longer alive. Sanket called-up his 'technology-partner' (read brother-in-law) to share the sad news. A call from an i-Phone to an i-Phone! Several Facebook updates that read 'RIP Steve Jobs' were done via Apple devices.
" The world has lost a visionary.
And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that
much of the world learned of his passing away on a device he invented."
- President Obama on the passing of Steve Jobs.
He was truly the master of the game! From Macintosh that we learnt about while growing up to all the 'i' devices, he's been the creative head behind it all. The more I read about him, the more I realize what an inspiration he and his ideas have been for the present day technology.
From a friend's Facebook profile |
Steve's family says that he passed away peacefully. This was the least all the prayers could do for him.
May your soul rest in peace, SIR Steve Jobs!
