Just Another Monday

Not everyday brings cheerfulness, not every weekend is about fun and things just don't go the way you want them to! The brighter side of the picture is that we manage to gather the courage to fight the odds and continue to look around for happiness. The giggles of a baby, a breath of fresh air, smile on the lips of the loved ones, a little appreciation, a small piece of good news or some shopping is all it takes to bounce back.

We had a pretty rough weekend... facing the unexpected!

Monday brought with it the usual routine. Sanket leaves for office and I start looking around for things to keep myself busy. That is the beauty of a Monday Morning... it forces you to leave behind everything, good or bad and start afresh.

I went to My Teeny Tiny Garden to see that the flower I had been waiting for to bloom was finally flaunting it's color :) Sharing some pics here.

The Marigold that made my day :)
The marigold is still growing. I hope it either grows big or the other buds bloom into flowers soon. All I want is shades of yellow on the bed of green leaves.

Alyssum... from a single flower to a bunch!
The first bud of the seeds I sowed, were of this plant, Alyssum. When I saw the flower, I was disappointed to see how small it was but soon it became a bunch of tiny flowers... worth all the time spent!!

The Cucumber Corner
Can you see the small cucumber in the bottom-right picture? It died before it could grow any further. The previous one met the same end. I read somewhere that cucumbers don't need much water. Should I stop watering them on a daily basis? Any suggestions.

Petunias... garden's grace

Poor Petunias... I keep moving them all the time.

One Big Family :D

It is fun to see what plants can do. When I started gardening, I had no idea that I would be going out to see the plants almost every hour. OK... this might sound crazy but I do talk to them at times *wink wink*. I have started dreading unexpected rains for they might flood the pots. High temperature worries me. I visit gardening sites for tips.

Worth the JOY it brings  :)

It is a coincidence that the moment you left that comment, I had JUST finished working on my vlog for the belt. Will be posting it tomorrow! :) Hope you like it! Also, thank you for the wishes!!!

    1. So true! I have been away from home for almost 10 days and the only reason I want to go back is to make sure that my plants are being taken care of by the maid just as she was instructed.

They have become my buddies :D

    1. Exactly! I love to have a lot of greens indoors as well. Hoping to add some of those in the coming days.

I learned from your blog that you are in Michigan. I have lived there myself and truly understand how eagerly you must be waiting for spring blooms :) Good for you, not many days to go before you can have a lush green garden and beautiful flowers around!
